Children with Special Educational Needs

Where necessary, a pre-school entry plan for a child is drawn up with the teachers of the pre-school placement and any other agencies.  Parents are encouraged to be involved in the process.

We aim to make the National Curriculum accessible to all our pupils, including those with SEND.

Some pupils may need additional support to help them access the curriculum.  A School Provision Map will be set up for each child.  Depending on their level of need and intervention this will be reviewed with the class teacher, the SENCO and the parents.  This will specify targets for each term, strategies to achieve them and how parents can help.  The school may, with the parents' consent, seek advice from outside agencies such as the Educational Psychologist, the Learning Support Team, the Behaviour Support Team or the Speech and Language Team.

See our SEN page, including our Local Offer leaflet for parents, for further information.
