Covid-19 resources

The following resources have been provided by Somerset's Local Offer.  The web link has some useful questions and answers that are specifically related to SEND including how the EHCP process is continuing through this difficult time.

I have attached two useful documents the first is a hospital passport if your child has exisiting medical conditions and does need to visit YDH, the second being social stories that can be used to help your child understand Corona virus and why schools are shut.  Please feel free to use!

Attached below are a couple of resources that could be used with children.  The first is a memory pack that could be used as a record of their time during lock down.  The second is a opps journal which is aimed at children who find it difficult with things not being perfect.

Support from an Educational Psychologist.

During the lockdown period the EPS ran a helpline for parents, this is a phone line that is manned by an EP who can discuss any COVID-19 related issues that your child may be facing.  This phoneline has now been extended to continue supporting parents with concerns around COVID-19 related issues that their child is facing.
