At school yesterday, the Year 6's had the opportunity to build and launch their own rockets (linking to our Hidden Figures Project). If you would like to try this, there are a couple of options (you will need some things from around your home to build these and probably some adult help).

Below is a document explaining how you can make a rocket for inside (using a ballon) or outside (using bicarbonate of soda and vinegar).

Alternatively, you could watch an online lesson by a real life rocket scientist and follow the instructions to build a rocket that requires a pump to launch it. For this one you will need a large bottle, card or paper, sticky tape, water, a pump and lots of space to launch!!!
