Week 11: Monday 6.7.2020 - Friday 10.7.2020:

This week's work is also new content so make sure you complete the 4 lessons, all about angles, triangles and quadrilaterals.

 

Do learn your times tables. Practise everyday, make sure you know them really well and at speed as it will make life much easier in year 5. On Friday test yourself.

1) Practise your times tables, you should be fast now and know them upto 12x12.

2) White Rose Week 8 Lesson 1: write decimals.

If you are comfortable with this, click on "already covered this content" and use the video to "subtract two 4 digit numbers no exchange". See links to alternative sites (third space learning and classroom secrets) that have worksheets and lessons. You can just create a free account.

3) familiarise yourself with money using the information below. I'll be setting some questions from tomorrow.

Monday 18.5.2020:

1) Practise your times tables ready for the test on Friday (use the 99 club sheets at the bottome of the Maths page).

2) White Rose Maths: Week 5 Lesson 1: Recognise tenths and hundredths. Complete this lessons by watching the video and then clicking on the BBC Bitesize link to complete the activities there.

Wednesday 20.5.20:

Hopefully you remember this work from before the confinement and are finding it straight forward or that it is good revision. Some of you had trouble with the Mathematica game yesterday. Don't worry if you can't do everything.

The format has changed as the worksheet are no longer included, but the BBC is providing 3 activities to go alongside the video clip. Just click on the BBC Bitesize link. Some of the activities are cool games (I've just tried Mathematica!). Choose which you want to do, no need to do all 3- unless you want to of course :)

Today I would like you to make sure you are up to date with the White Rose Maths lessons (watch the clips and complete the questions - no need to print the sheets, just write it on a piece of paper and check your answers).

I have set several decimals questions on Mathletics for you to complete (it shouldn't take too long). We'll do the review test on Monday There will be the BBC challenge on Friday.
