Autumn term update.

Thank you to last terms school council who worked very hard and implemented/ran lots of wonderful ideas:

-They re-introduced free fruit Fridays for KS2, which KS2 are really enjoying.

-They made and led an assembly around ensuring we respect our outside equipment and explained to the school about the Buddy Bench. Two children from school council became equipment monitors.

-They came up with ideas for Children in Need, they made posters and Year 5 and 6 school council stood up in assembly and spoke about what Children in Need is and what they do. Which led to the school raising £280 for Children in Need. The competition winners received an extra playtime.

-The children carried out votes in their class to choose their well-being treat for the Autumn Term.

-They wrote numerous letters to Senior Leadership trying to make playtime changes regarding ball games and asking if we could run the Bag2School campaign, they also helped by writing a letter to parents regarding this, they have also made posters to promote it.

-On the last week before Christmas school council ran a kindness advent calendar, where each day everyone in the school had a kindness act to carry out.
The children also made kindness posters which are around the school to give children ideas on how to be kind to everyone.

School Council have decided to support BBC Children In Need and are fundraising in school.

On Friday 15th November children are being asked to support the charity by coming in in Mufti and taking part in a colouring competition.  For the Mufti Day donations please can parents donate via the link please rather than send cash into school.
